Added to the aforementioned there are internal Club competitions. These are normally on a mutual consent basis between competitors leading to a finals day towards the end of the season.
Usually during the bowling season there is a fortnightly "social bowls" to which anyone can participate and is an ideal opportunity to get to know fellow members and for new members to get some tuition in a more informal setting. Usually the social bowls evening starts at about 7.00pm.

Outside the times shown for matches, there is plenty of scope for people wanting a friendly game. Visitors may be signed in and pay a nominal fee.

During the winter months members meet in the Club Lounge on Tuesday evenings to participate in a "carpet bowls" competition. This culminates just before the start of the new season commences with Presentations to the top team and everyone enjoys a pie and pea supper.
However, commencing next winter (2003) in addition to this we are introducing
"Winter Bowling" every Sunday from the 2nd November (weather permitting) and will run through to the end of March 2004. This is going to be run as an OPEN competition so for a modest entry fee all comers will be welcome.
